I was visiting my old elementary school, when there was some kind of situation going down near the playground. Some competing thieves were having a disagreement and one pair was holding the other pair at gunpoint. I quickly lockpicked my way through some fences, impressing some local kids, and snuck my way behind the group of criminals in order to break them out of their stalemate. I was able to neutralize the more violent pair and talked to the others, who turned out to be very good friends of mine from online. We ended up going back to the hotel for snuggles, and chatted about miscellaneous things such as a potential camping trip until the sun came up. A bunch of thieves came to the hotel trying to fence some stolen electronics through the dynamic duo, and I was helping to move things around before it was time to leave.
I departed in my collapsible hand-cranked gyrocopter and attempted to find my old home. For some reason I had trouble finding the address. Eventually I found a recognizable landmark and asked for directions, confused why the area looked so different. The AI at the desk was rather useless because it was unable to access its database, but the tourists nearby were more helpful. It turned out that in the week I had been gone, there was some kind of freak incident that rendered the area near the subway station dangerous, and my home was in the biohazard area and condemned. Apparently a surge in technology had resulted from the incident, but along with it came a streak of violence and crime. I went to the subway station to see for myself, and was surprised when I was prompted to choose my appearance when going through the doors of the parked subway train. I ended up picking a cyborg with the ability to change my holographic appearance at will, which somehow also gave me a bunch of interesting abilities. Some of the less savory types had chosen the form of trolls and other malcontents, which appeared to be part of the uptick in crime. I embarked on my new life, wondering what to do next...
