Aerobush Entertainment Presents: The Game Of Mao
Creator: Aaron Light Version: 1.1 How To Play: - To pick a rule when it's your turn to start a round as Mao, click on the desired phrase. - To play a card, first toggle the appropriate phrases, then pick a card from your hand and click on the discard pile. - If a phrase is yellow, your character will speak the phrase at the end of its turn. Multiple phrases can be selected at a time. - When playing a card, the card you play must match either the rank or suit of the top card on the discard pile. - To pick a new card, click on the deck. To pass, click on the deck again. - The computer will reject your card if it does not match the rules for playing a card. - The computer will also give you a penalty card for every rule you guess wrong. - Once you get rid of all cards in your hand, you win. The winner of a round becomes Mao on the next round. Keyboard Controls: The - and + on your numeric keypad control the pause time after penalty cards have been delivered. "Enter" starts a new round when the current round is finished. "T" toggles the first person player between human and AI after the end of the current turn. "S" sorts your hand for you. Hint: Think Pavlov. The AI Behind The Game: I used evolutionary computation to evolve boolean expressions that are able to accurately model the different rules. Future Improvements: Better rule selection (there's only so much screen space...) Add support for multi-tiered rules New rules Copyright notice: This is free to distribute as long as you don't remove any files from this package. |
